The Maintenance Assistant is a key member of the Estates Team, supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust facilities. The post holder will work alongside skilled Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Fabric tradespeople, assisting with maintenance, repairs, inspections, testing, and minor installation works across the hospital estate. They will respond to emergency, urgent, and routine maintenance requests, helping to ensure that patients, staff, and visitors experience a safe and functional environment at all times.
