Job summary

FBC UK in Batley seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead the Batley bakery value streams, drive profitability, and maintain strict safety and quality standards. You will plan resources, manage budgets, and foster continuous improvement across teams to deliver high-quality bakery products.

The role requires strong leadership, food-safety qualifications, and experience with SAP, Excel, and Promtek. Shifts are 7am–2:30pm and 2:30pm–10pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Strong people management and coaching skills with employment-law knowledge.
• Experience with SAP, Excel and recipe control platforms (Promtek).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and 5S experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute 2–3 year value stream strategies aligned with business goals.
• Deliver annual budgets with focus on cost control and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, BRC and M&S codes of practice.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Drive product integrity and food safety, managing allergen controls and ingredient integrity.
