Job summary

Warburtons in Bristol is seeking a Multi-Skilled Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent days-based pattern. You will join the site engineering team to deliver planned maintenance, asset care, and continuous improvement across bakery and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineer with both mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability.
• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualificiation.
• Experience delivering planned preventative maintenance in manufacturing/FMCG.
• Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with automated production equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Proactive approach to reliability and asset care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
• Support asset care programmes and proactive maintenance culture.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using structured problem solving.
• Identify recurring issues and implement robust, long-term solutions.
• Contribute to CI projects to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Work safely and follow site standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with production and stakeholders to improve performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and engineering best practices.
