Job summary

Warburtons is seeking a Multi-Skilled Manufacturing Engineer for our Bristol bakery on a permanent days pattern. You will collaborate with production, safety, hygiene and engineering colleagues to ensure equipment performs safely and reliably, focusing on preventative maintenance and asset care.

The role involves diagnosing faults, driving proactive maintenance and contributing to CI projects to improve efficiency and reduce downtime, while maintaining records and adhering to site standards.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineering capability with both mechanical and electrical fault-finding.
• Recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship/HNC/C&G/BTEC).
• Experience delivering preventative maintenance in manufacturing.
• Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
• Support asset care programmes and drive proactive maintenance culture.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults with structured problem solving.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure adherence to site procedures.
