Job summary

Warburtons is seeking a technically strong Multi-Skilled Engineer at our Bolton site. You will work in a 24/7, high-speed, automated food manufacturing environment with a focus on electrical bias and mechanical skills.

The role includes PPM, RCA, CBM and energy efficiency projects to drive operational excellence. You will diagnose faults, deliver long-term fixes and upgrade systems while aligning with an Engineering Academy that supports skill development.

Qualifications

• Technically strong multi-skilled engineers with an electrical bias and mechanical skills.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience with condition-based monitoring (thermal imaging, ultrasound, vibration analysis) is a bonus.
• Top-tier problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Safety-first mindset with knowledge of H&S systems and legislation.
• Desire to develop, contribute and take ownership in a team aiming for operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM).
• Lead Continuous Improvement and Energy Efficiency projects.
• Diagnose faults to prevent downtime and implement long-term fixes and system upgrades.
