Job summary

Finsbury Food Group located in East Kilbride requires a Senior Development Technologist to drive new product development and process innovations across the bakery portfolio. You will liaise with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality samples and products on time.

Ideal candidates will have a Food science/technology degree, strong communication and computer skills, and a driving license. Travel to other sites may be required as part of their responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in Food science/technology or similar
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literacy with Word and Excel
• Driving license
• Basic or above Food hygiene knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop new products to meet internal and external standards across the broader area of responsibility
• Manage focused development of new products to deliver margin for customers and the business
• Play a hands-on role in preparation and creation of product samples
• Monitor and benchmark product quality and raise issues with the development manager
• Work to critical path plans, organise resources to deliver products on time
• Manage customer accounts
