Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
  • Strong foundation in baking techniques and a passion for artisanal bread and viennoiserie.
  • Working knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and COSHH.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily preparation and production of high-quality bakery items including breads and pastries.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Baker and kitchen team.

The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bakery Demi Chef de Partie to support our bakery operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a creative and collaborative environment, contributing to the daily production of artisanal baked goods, breads, and viennoiserie.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the daily preparation and production of high-quality bakery items including breads, viennoiserie, and pastries

  • Ensure all products meet the hotel’s standards for presentation, taste, and quality

  • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation practices in accordance with HACCP guidelines

  • Collaborate closely with the Head Baker and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

  • Contribute to the development of new bakery items and seasonal offerings

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section

What you bring:

  • Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment

  • Strong foundation in baking techniques and a passion for artisanal bread and viennoiserie

  • Working knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and COSHH

  • Food Hygiene qualification (CIEH or equivalent)

  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence

  • Team player with good communication skills

  • Flexible and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
