Job summary

British Airways plc is seeking a part-time Baggage Coordinator based in the Baggage Control Room at Terminal 5. You will link operational teams with Heathrow baggage systems, working with external stakeholders to protect the operating plan and performance.

The role requires strong IT literacy, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment. Experience in baggage operations and control rooms is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Baggage operations and system command and control processes is essential.
• Experience in managing BAU and disruption events.
• Experience in working within a multi-user control room environment.
• Experience of BA Baggage operation at LHR or similar is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate operational baggage issues while balancing performance and revenue.
• Identify groups at risk of misconnecting; coordinate with teams to protect performance.
• Monitor arrivals schedules, identify delays, and liaise with line areas to prioritise resources for aircraft turns.
