Job summary

The Old Vic is seeking a Backstage FOH Crew member to deliver exceptional dining and visitor experiences, working across our backstage café bar. You’ll split your time between barista, bartender and waiter duties, ensuring high standards of service and presentation, with flexible hours to suit performance schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service in hospitality (bar tender/barista/waiting staff)
• Ability to maintain high service standards under pressure
• Flexible team player with adaptability across roles
• Barista training and commercial coffee machines experience
• Cocktail-making experience

Responsibilities

• Operate EPOS till systems and process transactions accurately
• Open/close duties according to the rota
• Assist with stock rotation and counts
• Support events and theatre hospitality functions
• Maintain knowledge of products, menus, drinks and specials
• Prepare and serve beverages and cocktails
• Greet customers and take orders
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in dining/bar areas
• Work with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service
