Job summary

Wolt is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build and operate backend services and APIs for BI platforms across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt. You will automate lifecycle processes and integrate BI tools with data warehouses and identity providers to enable scalable, self-service analytics.

You will work closely with data engineers, analytics engineers and product teams to deliver reliable, secure systems with strong developer experience, including applying AI tooling where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend, platform or infrastructure systems.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with data modelling and warehousing concepts.
• Experience building and owning APIs, integrations or automation in production with solid service boundaries and data contracts.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes, observability and incident response.
• Experience using AI tooling (LLMs, agent frameworks) in engineering work.
• End-to-end ownership of ambiguous problems with clear communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and operate backend services, APIs and automation for BI platforms.
• Automate platform lifecycle end-to-end, reducing manual administration.
• Build integrations between BI platforms and wider ecosystem (warehouses, identity providers, CI/CD).
• Improve availability, observability, performance, scalability and security of systems.
• Leverage AI tooling to enhance engineering capabilities while maintaining governance.
