Job summary

Wolt is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to design, build and operate backend services and BI integrations. You will own API integrations, automation and observability across Looker/Sigma and related BI tooling, collaborating with data teams and product managers.

You will drive reliability, performance, and security while applying AI tooling where it adds real value. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers and Software Engineers to deliver durable, self-service BI

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering with production backend, platform or infrastructure work.
• Proficiency in Python, solid SQL skills and data modelling concepts.
• Experience building and owning APIs, integrations or automation in production.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes, observability and incident response.
• Experience using AI tools in engineering with clear judgement on where they help.
• Strong communication and ability to own ambiguous problems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and operate the backend services, APIs and automation that the BI platforms across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt depend on.
• Automate the platform lifecycle end to end (provisioning, metadata, permissions, migrations, archival and validation).
• Build integrations between BI platforms and the wider ecosystem: warehouses, identity providers, orchestration, CI/CD and internal tooling.
• Improve availability, observability, performance and security of systems in production.
• Leverage AI tooling to enhance engineering processes while maintaining governance and reliability.
