Job summary

TP ICAP is hiring a Back-End Engineer in London to design, build, review, test, and deliver mission-critical, high-performance systems end to end. You will work closely with Architects, Principal Engineers, and Trading SMEs as a hands-on engineer, delivering robust, scalable solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with C#/Java, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, plus knowledge of FIX, messaging, caching, and serverless patterns. This is a full-time, on-site position based in London.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and supporting enterprise-level, latency-sensitive systems.
• Background in front-office trading applications is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of distributed messaging and caching technologies.
• Understanding FIX protocol and FIX message handling.
• Familiarity with AWS, microservices, and serverless patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, review, test, and deliver mission-critical, high-performance systems end to end.
• Work closely with Architects, Principal Engineers, and Trading SMEs as a hands-on engineer.
• Contribute to engineering deliverables throughout the full lifecycle.
• Ensure performance, scalability, resilience, and alignment with engineering best practices.
• Drive innovation through POCs, technical evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate progress proactively, highlight risks, and remove delivery impediments.
