Job summary

TP ICAP in London is seeking a Back-End Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications and APIs supporting high-volume data environments. You will influence technical architecture and ensure reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams and trading SMEs.

The role requires hands-on work on distributed, event-driven, cloud-native systems, with experience in .NET/C#, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and testing frameworks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and supporting latency-sensitive, enterprise-grade systems.
• Front-office trading applications experience preferred.
• Background in distributed, event-driven, cloud-native apps.
• Strong CS fundamentals and SDLC experience across design, development, QA, deployment, and production support.
• Ability to balance rapid delivery with architectural rigor and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on engineer, collaborate with Architects and Trading SMEs to design, build, review, test, and deliver mission-critical, high-performance systems end-to-end.
• Contribute to engineering deliverables across full lifecycle, ensuring performance, scalability, resilience, and best practices.
• Drive innovation through POCs, technical evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate progress, highlight risks and remove delivery impediments.
