Job summary

Client Server is hiring a Backend Software Engineer in London for a Greenfield Market Data platform built with C# and deployed to AWS. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle and provide .NET expertise in an Agile team.

Strong C#/.NET, API development, SQL and design pattern knowledge are essential. Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD and AI tools will help drive high-throughput, low-latency solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DevOps and Product Management within an Agile team environment.
• Work on a Greenfield Market Data platform built with C# and deployed to AWS.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to production.
• Provide subject matter expertise on the .Net stack.
• Take part in technical design discussions.
• Use Apache Flink with Java for large-scale data processing.
• Assess and recommend new and emerging technologies, using the best tool for the job.

Job description

Salary: £28,000 - 49,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong C# .Net skills
• Good understanding of design patterns such as SOLID, DRY and KISS
• Experience working on systems that require high throughput, low latency and scalability
• Strong experience building APIs
• SQL experience
• Good understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform
• Cloud experience with AWS
• Familiarity with other languages such as Java and openness to learn new things
• Comfortable using agentic AI tools to improve productivity
• Collaborative with strong communication skills and willingness to mentor more junior developers
