Client Server in Reigate is seeking a senior backend lead to manage three Agile teams and own a flagship desktop insurance platform. You will architect, design, and implement scalable features while enforcing security, reliability, and performance across the system.

The role requires strong C#/.NET Core expertise, event-driven architecture and modern Microsoft best practices, with hybrid work and opportunity for senior-level impact.

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Expertise with C# .NET Core backend software development on large, scalable systems with complexity
• Strong technical leadership experience, taking ownership of features rather than managing people
• Collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to push back and influence senior engineers
• Strong focus on clean, reusable and maintainable code, with knowledge of modern Microsoft software engineering best practices
• Good knowledge of event-driven architecture
• Thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals such as OOP, data structures, design patterns and algorithms
• Good understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Appreciation of Azure, SaaS, PaaS and microservices
• Likely degree educated in a relevant STEM discipline such as Computer Science, with a good grasp of mathematics
