Client Server Limited in Cambridge is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our R&D team on a new greenfield product aimed at combating AI-based security threats.

You will build and scale complex Python backend systems, contribute to rapid prototyping, and apply best practices across platforms. The role offers a hands-on, fast-paced environment with opportunities to work on Rust and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend experience required.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Degree in a STEM discipline.
• Proactive problem solving and critical thinking.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience with Rust, TypeScript or C++ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work within our R&D team on a new greenfield product to combat AI-based security attacks
• Build and develop complex backend systems using Python
• Contribute to rapid prototyping of new ideas and structured development of existing platforms
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across our products
• Work with Rust and emerging technologies where appropriate, using the right tool for the job
• Solve complex problems and iterate quickly in a rapid development environment
