Engine by Starling is hiring Backend Software Engineers to work on the Engine Platform, building and evolving features for banks worldwide. The role welcomes engineers at all levels who care about customers and the code they write, with a focus on scalability and cross-team collaboration.

We mainly code in Java and value clean coding, automated tests, and continuous deployment. Hybrid working is offered, with a preference for candidates near our London-area offices.

Qualifications

• Open-minded about hiring; aptitude and attitude valued over specific experience or qualifications.
• Mainly coding in Java; not required to be expert on joining.
• Experience with clean coding, automated testing and continuous deployment.
• Experience building tooling used by engineers on a daily basis is a plus.
