Job summary

Engine by Starling is seeking Backend Software Engineers to join our Platform team. You will work on our world‑scale banking SaaS, building features from scratch and improving existing services in a Java-based stack.

We value curiosity, collaboration, and ownership, with a hybrid working model and offices within commuting distance. Experience with Java, cloud-native architectures, microservices, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and a cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to own features from design to production deployment.
