Job summary

Arm Limited in Cambridge is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong backend and platform focus on a contract basis. You will design, implement and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, building robust RESTful APIs and system architecture while collaborating with frontend developers and product owners.

The role emphasizes backend development, system design and code quality, with familiarity of AI-assisted development tools and modern software

Qualifications

• Strong Node.js development using TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend services
• Solid understanding of software architecture and clean code practices
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and critical assessment of AI-generated code
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and DevOps workflows

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services with Node.js, TypeScript and Express.js
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following engineering best practices
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security and maintainability
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product owners to deliver high-quality software
