Job summary

Method Resourcing Ltd partners with a fast-growing digital business in sports tech to hire a Backend Engineer. You’ll design, build and scale cloud-native backend services in Node.js/TypeScript, leveraging AWS and PostgreSQL, in a high-velocity product-led environment.

You’ll own features from design through production, participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and testing, and collaborate closely with product teams while working three days per week in the London office.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of commercial backend engineering experience.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS Lambda or serverless architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience in sports tech or high-transaction platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and scale backend services in a cloud-native microservices environment.
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Support ongoing evolution of the backend with production-grade software.
• Own features from design through to production and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product teams in a fast-paced, product-led setting.
