Method Resourcing Ltd partners with a fast-growing digital business in sports tech to hire a Backend Engineer. You’ll design, build and scale cloud-native backend services in Node.js/TypeScript, leveraging AWS and PostgreSQL, in a high-velocity product-led environment.

You’ll own features from design through production, participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and testing, and collaborate closely with product teams while working three days per week in the London office.

Formación

• 2–6 years of commercial backend engineering experience.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS Lambda or serverless architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience in sports tech or high-transaction platforms is a plus.

Responsabilidades

Backend Engineer | Node.js | TypeScript | AWS | PostgreSQL | Sports Tech | 3 Days Per Week into London | £75,000-£80,000 + bonus + benefits

Method Resourcing are proud to be partnered with an ambitious and fast-growing digital business operating at the intersection of technology, sports, and real-time consumer experiences. Following continued growth, they're looking to hire a Backend Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, cloud-native systems.

The role: This is an opportunity to join a modern engineering environment where you'll be working on high-throughput platforms used by thousands of customers every day. You'll be helping to design, build, and scale backend services that sit at the heart of a rapidly evolving product suite.

The team are looking for someone with strong Node.js and TypeScript experience who enjoys building reliable systems, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership from design through to production.

You'll be involved in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and the ongoing evolution of a cloud-first microservices environment.

Skills & experience we are looking for:

• 2–6 years of commercial backend engineering experience
• AWS experience, ideally including Lambda and serverless architectures, or other cloud like Azure or GCP
• PostgreSQL or strong relational database experience
• Sports, sports betting, casinos, gaming, or high-transaction platform experience
• Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with integration testing and delivering production-grade software
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Experience working in fast-paced product-led environments
