Job summary

Client Server in London is seeking a Backend Software Engineer specializing in Java, Kafka and cloud deployments to join a collaborative team. You will design, develop and deliver transformational projects for financial services clients, with emphasis on Kafka messaging and migrating legacy systems to AWS.

You will work in a hybrid model with two days WFH, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and focus on engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Java development with multi-threading and concurrency.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging tools.
• Good understanding of AWS and cloud deployments.
• Solid CS fundamentals: OOP, data structures, design patterns.
• Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborative and client-facing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver projects for clients, mainly in financial services.
• Focus on Kafka messaging, cloud migrations to AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with a team and interact with clients for continuous improvement.
