Job summary

ExTrac is seeking a Software Engineer to join the engineering team to build and run backend services and pipelines for the platform. You will own features end-to-end, contribute to API design, and help optimize databases and data pipelines while collaborating with AI, frontend, analysts, and product managers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production-grade services.
• Proficiency in building microservices using Go or Python, with ability to learn the other quickly.
• Ability to own features end-to-end within a larger system and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and own features, components, and APIs end-to-end within a single system.
• Develop Go and Python-based microservices for data collection, processing, and querying.
• Ensure latency, cost, and reliability targets; build instrumentation for monitoring.
• Work with analysts, product, and other engineers to deliver cross-functional features.
• Contribute to deployment pipelines, observability, and environment tooling.
