Lightning AI seeks a Backend Engineer to help develop and scale the Lightning AI platform, spanning APIs, infrastructure, billing, security, and integrations. You’ll own features end-to-end, working with engineering, product, and design to ship high-quality, iterative improvements for real-world machine learning workloads at scale.

This role is based in one of our hubs (London, NYC, Seattle, SF), with a minimum of two in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience writing efficient, maintainable Go code and testing.
• Broad backend/frontend knowledge; building and scaling APIs, CLI tools, billing, security.
• Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure; containerization with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Write readable, testable, efficient code in Go.
• Develop features end-to-end and drive stability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering/product to set technical direction for large projects.
• Evaluate and document architecture, tools, and processes.
• Maintain software quality, automate delivery, reduce technical debt.
• Mentor engineers in system design and problem-solving.
