Job summary

Lightning AI in London is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to scale the platform across frontend, CLI, APIs, and core backend systems. You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborating with product and design to ship iterative improvements for real-world ML workloads at scale.

Based in one of our hubs (NYC, SF, Seattle, or London), this role requires a minimum of two in-office days per week. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in React and Go or Python.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience as a Fullstack Engineer in a SaaS company.
• Proven ability to take ownership of key features end-to-end.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Ability to operate in high uncertainty and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Write readable/testable/efficient code in React and Go or Python.
• Build deep expertise to deliver features and improve stability.
• Partner with leaders on developing the Lightning product and set technical direction.
• Evaluate and document architecture, tools, processes.
• Maintain high standards, automate, and drive delivery while reducing technical debt.
• Mentor engineers to grow in a collaborative environment.
