Methods is seeking a Backend Developer to join our Leeds, England team. You will design, develop and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript in a serverless/AWS environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team including designers, product managers and QA professionals to deliver robust services used by millions of people across public and private sectors. Strong experience in AWS Lambda, REST APIs and CI/CD is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing backend services and APIs.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and serverless architectures.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs.
• Utilise serverless architecture and cloud-native development principles.
• Develop and maintain applications using AWS, including AWS Lambda.
• Build secure, scalable and reliable APIs and services.
• Collaborate with frontend, product managers, QA and other specialists in an agile team.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues and incidents.
