Job summary

Methods is an IT Services Consultancy delivering government and private sector digital services across the UK. You will join a multidisciplinary team to design, develop and maintain secure backend services and APIs using TypeScript and AWS serverless technology.

As part of a collaborative engineering culture, you’ll contribute to automated testing, code reviews and continuous delivery while focusing on security, reliability and performance across scalable cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong experience with serverless and AWS.
• Experience designing scalable RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
• Knowledge of Git workflows and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using TypeScript.
• Implement serverless solutions and cloud-native development principles.
• Develop and deploy applications using AWS, including AWS Lambda.
• Build secure, scalable, and reliable back-end services and APIs.
