Job summary

LA International seeks a Java-focused API engineer to design and build high-performance, real-time integration APIs and trading adaptors for routing orders between internal systems and external OMS networks.

You will work in a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in Glasgow, on a 12-month contract Inside IR35, focusing on secure, low-latency services, precise logging, and robust auditing to meet financial industry standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience designing and building robust APIs.
• Familiarity with financial messaging formats and order execution logic.
• Understanding of financial instruments, specifically structured products and derivatives.

Role Overview

You will focus on the real-time, transactional side of the integration layer. Your primary task is to build the APIs and specific trading adaptors required to route orders and data between internal systems and external order management networks.
