Job summary

LA International seeks a Java-focused API engineer to design and build high-performance, real-time integration APIs and trading adaptors for routing orders between internal systems and external OMS networks.

You will work in a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in Glasgow, on a 12-month contract Inside IR35, focusing on secure, low-latency services, precise logging, and robust auditing to meet financial industry standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience designing and building robust APIs.
• Familiarity with financial messaging formats and order execution logic.
• Understanding of financial instruments, specifically structured products and derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, low-latency RESTful or event-driven APIs.
• Develop a robust trading adaptor capable of translating internal data models into standard trading protocols.
• Ensure high reliability and precise logging for all executed transactions to meet auditing standards.
