Job summary

Slim Chickens East Midlands Shopping Centre is seeking a Back of House Supervisor to lead a fast-paced kitchen team. You’ll oversee food preparation, ensure high standards, and collaborate with the Front of House team to keep service running smoothly.

With a commitment to food safety, hygiene, and staff development, you’ll mentor colleagues, manage stock, and help deliver the brand’s southern-inspired dishes in a welcoming, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen or fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership to inspire and guide a kitchen team.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Deep understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all back-of-house operations to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation.
• Leading, mentoring, and motivating the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Managing inventory, monitoring food stock, and ensuring timely ordering of supplies.
• Collaborating with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure seamless service.
• Handling kitchen-related issues and resolving them promptly to maintain smooth operations.
• Supporting staff training and development to uphold our brand’s high standards.
• Creating a positive, productive work environment where the kitchen team can thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• A deep understanding of food safety and hygiene practices


• Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
