Job summary

Slim Chickens Meadowhall seeks a Back of House Supervisor to lead and mentor the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service. You’ll work closely with Front of House to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll oversee safety, hygiene, and stock control while supporting staff training and growth within the BRG family. Weekend and holiday flexibility is required as we stay on the go.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen or fast-paced setting.
• Strong leadership and team coaching abilities.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Oversee back-of-house operations to ensure efficient food preparation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Overseeing all back-of-house operations to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation
• Leading, mentoring, and motivating the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Managing inventory, monitoring food stock, and ensuring timely ordering of supplies
• Collaborating with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure seamless service
• Handling kitchen-related issues and resolving them promptly to maintain smooth operations
• Supporting staff training and development to uphold our brand’s high standards
• Creating a positive, productive work environment where the kitchen team can thrive

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or similar fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a kitchen team
• A passion for delivering consistent, high-quality food
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• A deep understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
• Flexible, availability that includes weekends, late nights and bank holidays - we're always on the go!
