We’re looking for a proactive Midweight Back-End Developer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience to help support and maintain the websites we develop.

You’ll work with our Client Support team daily, with support from the wider Technical team, including our Senior developers.

Our aim is to deliver high-quality code, so it is important to understand best-practice code structure, as well as performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Write clean, scalable, maintainable code following team conventions and best practices.
2. Ensure that tasks are completed on time, to specification, and are performant and secure.
3. Participate in regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
4. Contribute to technical planning, estimation, progress meetings, and standards.
5. Stay curious and engaged with new back-end tools and technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. 3 years of professional back-end development experience.
2. Proficiency in writing clean, scalable, and efficient code in C# with an understanding of MVC architecture.
3. Experience with Umbraco and Optimizely CMS.
4. Familiarity with version control (GIT) and workflows (feature branches, pull requests).
5. Experience with profiling and troubleshooting applications.
6. Familiarity with the Azure Portal.
7. Knowledge of SQL Management Studio and relational databases.
8. Understanding of security best practices, including OWASP vulnerabilities.
9. Understanding of the blue-green deployment model.
10. A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with Azure DevOps.
2. Experience using security testing tools.
3. Familiarity with Node.js/JavaScript.

Note: The role may require occasional work outside normal office hours.
