Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an outpatient physiotherapist (Band 5) to assess, diagnose and treat a variety of musculoskeletal disorders across two sites in West Sussex. The role offers supervision, ongoing professional development and opportunities to participate in service development initiatives.

• Newly qualified or existing Band 5 clinician
• Experience in MSK physiotherapy is desirable
• Able to work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, diagnose and treat a range of MSK conditions in outpatient clinics
• Formulate and deliver personalised treatment plans informed by evidence-based practice
• Report and document patient progress and pathway variances
• Provide education and advice to patients and their carers
• Participate in supervision, teaching sessions and departmental meetings

A successful candidate will work in an outpatient physiotherapy clinic assessing, diagnosing and treating a variety of musculoskeletal disorders from a range of sources including GP, orthopaedic and self-referrals. Given the development opportunities available; this post is suitable for newly qualified and existing band 5 clinicians. Candidates will rotate between Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital and our Clinic at Madgewick Lane, Chichester This position offersDevelopment · Monthly one to one supervision sessions to guide personal and professional development · Monthly group supervision with other B5 staff in the team, facilitated by a B7/B8a · Monthly departmental teaching sessions and journal clubs. · Capacity to participate in service-wide development projects. · Scope to frequently work alongside Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners from the neighbouring MSK service. This presents a rare opportunity for outpatient physiotherapists to directly access a wealth of knowledge and experience on a regular basis and provides a fantastic platform for clinical development. · Collaboration with consultant-led Persistent Pain and Rheumatology services. roles available across the whole of West Sussex Brighton and Hove, which include full, part-time, fixed term and permanent opportunities.
