Job summary

Qualifications

  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist with UK MSK post-registration experience.
  • Evidence of CPD portfolio showing MSK development.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a supportive physiotherapy framework.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessment and treatment for MSK patients referred by GP or self-referral and post-operative referrals via Orthopaedics.
  • Supervise Band 5 Physiotherapists, assistants and students as needed.
  • Participate in flexible early/evening clinics and service development.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available within Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) to join our innovative and friendly team of Physiotherapists as a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist. There are several opportunities all 37.5 hrs a week fixed term for 12 months. There will be a mix of community MSK and acute MSK settings as required. The roles would involve clinical assessment and treatment of patients referred with Musculoskeletal conditions by their GP or Self Referring and Post-operative patients referred via Orthopaedics., During the Coronavirus pandemic, the Trust was recognised nationally for its 'Be Safe Be EquiPPEd' campaign, which aimed to make the Trust as safe as possible for staff and patients, through supporting the correct use of PPE.

On commencing the role you will have a full induction and ongoing appraisal. Our mentorship programme offers regular supervision, setting individual objectives, promoting self-analysis and development.

All Physiotherapists benefit from regular CPD with access to advice and support from our Advanced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists, receiving Peer review sessions, and participating in monthly In-service training. Service development and innovation is strongly encouraged alongside participation in audit and research.

The service prides itself on the pathways in place for complex patient management via onward referral to Extended Scope Practitioners and Advanced Clinical Specialists.

The role may require the candidate to assist in the supervision of Band 5 Physiotherapists, Assistants and Physiotherapy Students.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-rounded HCPC registered Physiotherapist with experience of working in the UK and proven post registration experience in MSK as demonstrated by their CPD portfolio.

The role will involve working independently as an autonomous practitioner and to build strong links with GP's and Consultants therefore evidence of experience in similar roles is desirable. The role will also involve working within a team across Physiotherapy outpatient services in the locality . You will be expected to be involved in service projects and audit to ensure high quality, evidence-based practice enabling standardized care across the service.

The candidate should be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both autonomously and within the physiotherapy team and wider MDT.

Organisation and time management is key to efficiently managing caseloads.
