Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Exercise and Rehabilitation Assistant for our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Service. The role covers hours at Bognor War Memorial Hospital MSK Outpatients and Worthing Hospital MSK Outpatients, with potential travel to other local sites.

You will deliver 1:1 exercise programmes and group rehabilitation, working with Physiotherapists and the Gym Rehab team.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare is desirable but not essential.
• Good communication skills are required, and an understanding of human physiology and mechanics would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver rehabilitation programmes including 1:1 and group classes for patients.
• Deliver 1:1 exercise programmes and group rehabilitation within well-equipped rehab gyms.
• Work alongside Physiotherapists, Hydrotherapy and Gym Rehab teams while supporting students on placement where applicable.

Our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Service is looking for an Exercise and Rehabilitation Assistant to join our dynamic and enthusiastic team. The post covers hours at either Bognor War Memorial Hospital MSK Outpatients and Worthing Hospital MSK Outpatients but could include travel to our other local sites. Opportunities to work alongside Physiotherapists, Hydrotherapy and the Gym Rehab team. The role involves delivering 1:1 exercise programmes as well as group based rehabilitation within our well-equipped rehab gyms. roles available across the whole of West Sussex Brighton and Hove, which include full, part-time, fixed term and permanent opportunities. We would also seek to support bank offers to support with waiting list initiatives. This includes attending our monthly programme of In-service Training and participation in 1:1 supervision. There will also be extensive opportunities to learn from our large number of Physiotherapists and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners. In addition to this, you may have the opportunity to support students and work experience students when they are on placement. The successful applicant will work as part of the musculoskeletal team with a variety of duties. These will include both administrative, and clinical aspects; including coordinating and conducting rehabilitation programmes (including 1:1 and group classes) for patients, both independently, and under the guidance of the Physiotherapists / Osteopaths., Just like our team, the community we serve is wonderfully diverse, and understanding their unique needs is at the heart of everything we do.
