Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join our outpatient physiotherapy team. You will deliver high-quality assessments and treatments for adults and children with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, working autonomously with expert supervision support.

You will supervise junior staff and students, contribute to service development and quality improvement, and benefit from a supportive, flexible work environment and generous NHS benefits.

Qualifications

• Band 6 MSK physiotherapist with 18+ months post-graduate experience.
• Willing to supervise junior staff and students.
• Experience in outpatient musculoskeletal/orthopaedic care.
• Ability to work autonomously with supervision support.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient physiotherapy for adults and children with MSK and orthopaedic conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, deliver treatment, and manage caseloads.
• Work autonomously without direct supervision.
• Supervise Band 5 therapists, physiotherapy assistants, and students.
• Be proactively involved in service development and quality improvement.

Main duties of the job

• To work as a senior physiotherapy practitioner to provide a high quality, responsive outpatient physiotherapy service for adults & children with musculoskeletal & orthopaedic conditions
• To provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment,treatmentand caseload management
• To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner working without direct supervision.
• To be involved in supervision and education of band 5 physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, work experiencestudentsand physiotherapy students.
• To be proactively involved in service development and quality improvement
