Qualifications

• Experience in B2B sales, internal sales, account management or business development.
• Excellent IT skills and confidence using CRM systems, databases and sales software.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Proactive approach to account management, customer follow-ups and generating repeat business.
• Willingness to learn a new industry and develop product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing database of B2B clients.
• Build strong relationships with industrial clients, manufacturers and large retailers.
• Generate repeat business and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Sell engineering services, service and maintenance contracts, and new installation contracts.
• Engage with key decision-makers, including Maintenance Managers, Production Managers, Engineering Managers and Health & Safety Officers.
• Identify customer requirements and match them with appropriate engineering solutions.
• Maintain accurate sales records, update CRM systems and manage customer databases.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations and prospective sales opportunities.
• Proactively contacting existing customers to maximise sales opportunities.
• Work towards building a successful sales desk, with the opportunity to benefit from a commission structure as the role develops.
