Job summary

PDG Aviation Services in Inverness seeks a B1.3 Licensed Engineer to join the Engineering Department. This is a permanent full-time role based at the Inverness Base with a 35-hour contract and Monday–Friday 08:30–16:30, with occasional weekend work to cover operational requirements.

You will support line and base maintenance, certify work within authorised scope, and work with a dedicated team in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• B1.3 CAA license required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support line and base maintenance at PDG bases and occasionally off-site locations.
• Perform aircraft maintenance tasks per approved data and regulations.
• Certify completed work within authorised scope.
• Document defects after debrief with operations crew.
• Supervise and guide engineering and support personnel.
• Maintain tooling and workspace in a safe, organized condition.
• Assist with aircraft handling, refuelling, and roles as required.
• Provide general engineering support to the department and wider business.
• Ensure compliance with PDG policies and procedures.

We are currently recruiting for a B1.3 Licensed Engineer to join our Engineering Department located at our Inverness Base.

This role is a permanent full-time role, based on a 35-hour contract. The working hours are predominantly Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30; however, flexibility is required to cover operational requirements which will include occasional weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support line and base maintenance activities at any PDG base and, when occasionally required, at off-site locations.
• Perform aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, current regulations, industry best practice, and company authorisations, including certification of completed work within authorised scope.
• Complete all maintenance activities safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with PDG policies, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure aircraft defects are accurately identified, documented, and recorded following debrief with operational crew members.
• Supervise and provide guidance to engineering and support personnel as required.
• Ensure the correct use, care, and maintenance of tooling and support equipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Carry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes, and cleaning activities in support of operational requirements.
• Provide general engineering and operational support to the Engineering Department and wider business as required.
