Job summary

PDG Aviation Services invites applications for an Engineering Fitter based at our Inverness base. The role is a permanent full-time position on a 35-hour contract, Monday to Friday 08:30–16:30 with occasional weekend work to meet operations.

Responsibilities include supporting line and base maintenance, assisting Certifying Engineers, documenting defects, and maintaining tooling and safety standards. Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK required.

Responsibilities

• Support line and base maintenance activities at any PDG base and, when occasionally required, at off-site locations.
• Support Certifying Engineers to undertake aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, current regulations, industry best practice, and company authorisations.
• Complete all assigned tasks safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with PDG policies, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure aircraft defects are accurately identified, documented, and recorded following debrief with operational crew members.
• Ensure the correct use, care, and maintenance of tooling and support equipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Carry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes, and cleaning activities in support of operational requirements.
• Provide general engineering and operational support to the Engineering Department and wider business as required.
• Demonstrable aviation engineering experience, supported by relevant qualifications where applicable
