Job summary

PDG Aviation Services invites applications for an Engineering Fitter based at our Cumbernauld base. This permanent, full-time role operates a 28-day rotating shift pattern averaging 35 hours per week across cycles of 10-hour shifts and 6 days on/4 off, then 4 days on/6 days off.

You will support line and base maintenance, assist Certifying Engineers, and perform a range of hands-on engineering tasks while upholding PDG policies and safety standards.

• Demonstrable aviation engineering experience.
• Relevant qualifications where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support line and base maintenance activities at any PDG base and, when occasionally required, at off-site locations.
• Assist Certifying Engineers to undertake aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, current regulations, industry best practice, and company authorisations.
• Complete all assigned tasks safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with PDG policies, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure aircraft defects are accurately identified, documented, and recorded following debrief with operational crew members.
• Ensure the correct use, care, and maintenance of tooling and support equipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Carry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes, and cleaning activities in support of operational requirements.
• Provide general engineering and operational support to the Engineering Department and wider business as required.
• Demonstrable aviation engineering experience, supported by relevant qualifications where applicable.
