Job summary

Fruition Group in Glasgow is seeking a Cloud Platform Lead to design and build our Azure platform. You will lead a new cloud capability, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure & Service, and grow a team as the platform scales.

You will drive Azure landing zones, reference architectures, and hosting/automation while setting engineering standards for resilience, security and performance. This is a hybrid role with 3 days on site in Glasgow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience with Azure platform engineering.
• Proven delivery of cloud migration and modernisation programmes.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or ARM) and end-to-end CI/CD ownership.
• Strong networking, identity (Entra ID) and cloud security knowledge.
• Experience in ITIL-aligned service organisations.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305) or ITIL v4 Foundation and FinOps exposure are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the Azure platform - landing zones and reference architectures.
• Set engineering standards for resilience, security, scalability and performance.
• Lead cloud migration and modernisation, integrating with on-premise systems.
• Drive infrastructure as code and CI/CD adoption across the organisation.
• Build secure-by-design platforms aligned to ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Embed cost visibility and FinOps into platform design.
• Define runbooks, monitoring and alerting for operability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, workplace, security and data teams.
