Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer for a 6-month hybrid contract in Milton Keynes. The role offers £500-£600 per day (Umbrella/Inside IR35) and requires three on-site days per week.

You will design and implement Azure landing zones, IaC with Terraform or Bicep, CI/CD pipelines and secure migrations, while collaborating with project teams within a security-focused programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building Azure platforms and migrating applications or services into public cloud.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools Terraform or Bicep and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, security and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience in secure government-aligned environments (NCSC, GDS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure landing zones, infrastructure and cloud services.
• Support migration readiness assessments and migration into Azure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps toolchains.
• Configure Azure networking, identity, monitoring, security logging, backup and recovery.
• Support application modernisation using Azure PaaS, containers and serverless services.
• Troubleshoot complex issues to improve platform performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure delivery meets UK government security requirements and standards.
