Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, build and migrate secure Azure cloud platforms from Milton Keynes with hybrid working options.

You will implement IaC using Terraform or Bicep, develop CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps toolchains, and support cloud readiness and migration of legacy apps while applying Zero Trust and UK security standards.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud platform engineering.
• Proven experience building and migrating applications to public cloud platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery.
• Strong understanding of cloud security and Zero Trust architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud-native security tools, such as Microsoft Sentinel.
• Experience with hybrid environments, VPNs and cloud networking.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers and serverless applications.
• Knowledge of NCSC guidance, Secure by Design and UK government security standards.
• Experience working in secure environments.

Responsibilities

Cloud Engineer – Microsoft Azure

6 Months contract | Inside IR35 | Up to £600 per day (inside IR35)

Milton Keynes / Hybrid working

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support the design, build and migration of secure, scalable Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

You will play a key role in cloud infrastructure development, application migration, and DevSecOps, ensuring cloud solutions meet security, compliance and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and services.


• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep.


• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps toolchains.


• Support cloud readiness assessments and migration of legacy applications.

Contract Details

• Initial 6-month contract, with potential extensions up to 24 months.


• Inside IR35.


• Participation in an on-call rota is required, including overnight, weekend and bank holiday cover.
