Aurora Energy Research in Oxford, UK is seeking an Azure Platform Engineer to strengthen our Azure platform and related integration services. You will own hands-on delivery, governance, and documentation, contributing to a scalable, secure cloud foundation that supports Aurora's global operations.

You will develop infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise service bus integrations, while collaborating with Architecture and Engineering and business stakeholders to

• Proven, hands-on experience designing and delivering Azure infrastructure in production.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, including managing state, modules, and multi-environment pipelines.
• Practical experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with integration infrastructure deployed to Azure including Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, Azure SQL and Key Vaults.
• Strong Azure networking knowledge - VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Curious mindset to learn and adopt emerging technologies and practices.
• Experience configuring Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel for observability and security.
• PowerShell and/or Azure CLI automation/scripting.
• Security and governance mindset with RBAC, Azure Policy, and guardrails.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent time management and ability to deliver with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and maintain Azure infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Build CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and ensure versioning.
• Develop Enterprise Service Bus and integration using Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus.
• Design and maintain Azure networking including VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS, hybrid links.
• Implement monitoring with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel; ensure observability.
• Develop runbooks, SOPs, and architecture documentation; contribute to governance.
• Collaborate with Internal Technology and business stakeholders to align Azure capabilities.
