Job summary

Mondrian Alpha, London hedge fund client, seeks a Director of Platform Engineering to design, build and operate a scalable Azure platform from the ground up. You will own Azure landing zones, identity, networking, governance, and hybrid connectivity, working with the CTO to standardize cloud usage across the firm.

You will lead a hands-on team, emphasizing security, compliance automation and clear standards documentation to enable teams across engineering and data science to move workloads

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and running Azure infrastructure at scale.
• Strong security mindset and governance automation experience.
• Experience with landing zones, identity and access management, and hybrid connectivity.
• Ability to document standards clearly and drive adoption across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate the Azure platform from the ground up for a hedge fund.
• Land end-to-end Azure landing zones including identity, networking and security baselines.
• Define platform standards and reusable patterns in collaboration with CTO and infra teams.
• Support engineering and data-science teams moving workloads onto the platform.
