Job summary

LGT Wealth Management UK LLP is seeking a senior platform and infrastructure engineer to lead delivery of Azure-based cloud capabilities and automation. You will design and operate secure, scalable infrastructure, drive CI/CD and guardrails, and collaborate with architects and teams across the business.

The role involves hands-on engineering, automation, and strong documentation to support reliable operations in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Senior platform, infrastructure or cloud engineer with experience in regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, building and operating Microsoft Azure environments (compute, networking, storage).
• Experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or equivalent tooling.
• Hands-on containerisation and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Proficiency with Terraform to provision and manage cloud on-premise infra.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Scripting/automation skills with PowerShell, Bash and at least one language (Python or Go).
• Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) with Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior, hands-on engineer within Platform & Infrastructure, providing technical leadership and contributing to roadmap.
• Design, build and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities.
• Evolve engineering standards, guardrails and reusable platform services.
• Lead automation for delivery via GitLab, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform and DevOps practices.
• Own complex technical designs and operational issues, ensuring secure, cost-effective solutions.
• Partner with architects and teams to deliver cloud adoption and app modernization initiatives.
• Embed security, resilience and compliance across platform design and delivery.
• Contribute to technical reviews, knowledge sharing and runbook/documentation quality.
• Support platform service management, incident handling and change planning.
