Job summary

Caspian One is seeking an experienced Head of DevOps to lead a 35-person function spanning Platform Engineering, DevOps and SRE. You will take ownership of the Azure cloud and platform strategy, guiding established engineering teams and modernising the platform to scale with the business.

The role is leadership‑level with strong executive sponsorship, focused on improving developer experience, automation and reliability in a fast-paced, finance‑tech environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading sizeable DevOps/Platform Engineering or SRE teams, ideally in financial services or fintech.
• Deep Microsoft Azure expertise and cloud strategy ownership.
• Strong Kubernetes and containerisation experience with modern orchestration.
• Solid background with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead three teams across DevOps, Platform Engineering and SRE (≈35 engineers).
• Define and execute the Azure cloud and platform engineering strategy.
• Drive automation, IaC and CI/CD best practices across the org.
• Champion reliability, observability and operational excellence.
• Build self-service capabilities and improve the developer experience.
• Develop engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
• Partner with Engineering, Architecture and Security to support growth.
