Job summary

SCC is seeking an experienced DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support delivery, reliability and continuous improvement of critical technology platforms across cloud and hybrid environments. The role focuses on automation, platform resilience and DevOps culture within a complex enterprise programme.

You will design scalable infrastructure, build CI/CD pipelines, apply IaC, monitor health, and collaborate with teams across Azure, AWS and on-prem systems to drive iterative improvements

Qualifications

Experience as a DevOps/SRE in enterprise environments.
Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS and/or GCP.
IaC with Terraform/ARM/Bicep/CloudFormation.
CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
Containerisation: Docker and Kubernetes.
Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, Splunk or Datadog.
Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
Linux and Windows server administration.
Networking, security, identity management and infra concepts.
Experience with SLOs/SLIs.
Agile/DevOps practices.
Cloud/platform certs desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and support highly available, scalable and resilient infrastructure platforms.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable and secure software delivery.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and deployment with IaC.
Monitor platform health, availability, performance and capacity.
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Implement reliability practices to improve system stability and efficiency.
Collaborate with development, architecture and operations teams.
Support cloud adoption across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments.
Drive automation and standardisation.
Participate in incident management and post-incident reviews.
Maintain runbooks and support procedures.
Ensure alignment with security, compliance and governance.
