Job summary

Cognitive Group | Part of the Focus Cloud Group in the UK is seeking a Lead Integration Developer to architect and implement Azure-based integration solutions. You will guide a small to mid-sized engineering team, stay hands-on with core components, and drive technical direction with clients to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires deep Azure expertise, strong communication, and the ability to mentor engineers while delivering robust cloud-native designs in a hybrid consulting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Azure integration experience.
• UK Government Security Clearance.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or developing other engineers.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
• Experience contributing to solution design and architecture.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Confidence working in client-facing and consulting environments.
• Azure certifications, or a commitment to working towards them.
• Experience with CI/CD and continuous integration.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot and modern developer tooling.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Functions and Durable Functions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus.
• Strong hands-on experience with API Management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Event Grid and/or Event Hub.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C#.
• Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with secure application design.
• Strong hands-on experience with Git.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Azure integration solutions
• Translate business requirements into robust integration architectures
• Provide technical direction across design, development, and best practice
• Lead and mentor a small to mid-sized team of developers
• Act as a technical lead and escalation point for complex issues
• Run technical workshops and advise clients on integration strategy
• Help customers identify the right Azure integration approaches
• Stay hands-on, building and supporting key integration components
• Work closely with clients, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
