Cognitive Group | Part of the Focus Cloud Group is seeking an experienced Azure Platform Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable Azure platforms for enterprise and public-sector clients. This hands-on role blends deep technical expertise with consulting and leadership to shape cloud strategy and drive large-scale transformations.

You will oversee enterprise Azure architectures from strategy to implementation, define Landing Zones, establish IaC standards and governance, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure
• 5+ years focused on Azure platform engineering/architecture
• Current UK Government Security Clearance
• Proven experience leading engineering teams
• Azure CAF and Well-Architected Framework knowledge
• AZ-305 or equivalent Azure certification

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-scale Azure platforms
• Define evolving Azure Landing Zone strategies
• Establish IaC standards and automation practices
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring
• Lead cloud strategy workshops and migration-readiness assessments
• Oversee major infrastructure transformation initiatives
• Conduct Well-Architected reviews and governance reviews
• Ensure alignment with UK Government requirements
• Support bids, pre-sales and capability development
